Prenatal yoga is all about protecting your baby and you during pregnancy. It's about aiding a relaxing and comfortable pregnancy, releasing discomforts and preparing you for childbirth. But it's also about creating a bond between you and your baby that you can take with you into parenthood.
When I first got introduced to prenatal yoga I was pregnant with my first child back in 2013. It was also at that time I decided to become a prenatal yoga instructor. As I was experiencing huge physical and mental transformations in my body, prenatal yoga quickly became my safe place. A place where I immediately felt more at ease, re-energized and connected with my body, mind and baby.
Now that I’m a mom to a toddler going through my second pregnancy, having a prenatal yoga practice helps me cope with the chaos a toddler brings and the stress that surrounds you as you try to juggle your various roles. It’s not easy and yes there’s a lot to deal with, which is why a prenatal yoga practice and now also meditation practice has become a huge part of my daily routine. The results shows - I'm a more calm and present mom, wife and friend.
Since each pregnancy is such an individual journey working with clients always becomes a very customize experience.
