What I love about yoga and meditation is that it’s like a warm hug. It doesn’t need to be analyzed. It just works and we feel it. We immediately feel happier, lighter, and more balanced and connected with ourselves and others. And that’s why I first got into yoga, because it made me feel happy and light.
Yoga has always been a part of me. Since I was really young I was always very curious about the body and fascinated by it's capability to heal itself. Throughout my twenties, where I lived mostly abroad - studying and working in amongst others in Spain, Argentina, England, USA and China, I started practicing yoga to cope with my ever changing surroundings. Yoga was like 'coming home' - a safe place where I could reconnect with myself and get grounded. When I later started working, it was a way to switch off and refocus my mind.
However, little did I know that I was going to be teaching yoga myself a decade later, but when I moved back to New York in 2012, this time to get married, I also decided to become a yoga instructor, purely because I wanted it for myself and my own practice. Nonetheless, I soon hereafter got offered a job to teach and that started the ball rolling. I began working at several studios in New York along with having private clients. Yoga soon became my lifestyle as well as my life philosophy. Since then I have become a prenatal and postnatal yoga instructor and I’m also certified to do yoga with baby.
Where I used to be all about a sweaty challenging vinyasa flow I'm today obsessed with restructuring the body in a wise and intelligent way. I still like to get sweaty though, but my focus is alignment weaving in a creative heat inducing vinyasa flow. Besides, all of this I’m a pranayama addict, a green juice freak, a seeker of harmony and a mother of two little rascals. After six year living and teaching in New York we now live in Copenhagen, Denmark where I've started Mind - Your Business and are teaching small private group classes with focus on the individual.
I hope to practice with you soon.
